Crossroads Missions/Help Build Hope COVID 19 from Our Director Rob Minton

COVID 19 Information.

Dear Participants,

As people are preparing to travel this spring and summer we wanted make a statement about the Coronavirus and what we at CrossRoads Missions are doing to protect both our participants and staff members.  We would like to make clear that we only take medical advice from the following sources:

• Licensed physicians with whom we already have an existing relationship

• The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (www.cdc.gov)

• World Health Organization (www.who.int)

Our team is following reports of the virus and how it is spreading around the world. We base our recommendations on those issued by the WHO. We provide clean, safe housing and dining facilities in each of our fields. Our facilities are equipped with multiple locations for bathrooms, hand washing, and separate areas for food preparation. All staff and participants are encouraged to practice good hygiene and to make leadership aware of anyone who is exhibiting signs of sickness. Should any participant exhibit signs of coronavirus or another viral infection, we have rapid access to nearby medical facilities in each of our fields.

We will continue to provide updates as news develops.

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE:

As people are preparing to travel this spring and summer we wanted make a statement about the Coronavirus and what we at CrossRoads Missions are doing to protect both our participants and staff members.

We would like to make clear that we only take medical advice from the following sources:

  • Licensed physicians with whom we already have an existing relationship

  • The World Health Organization (www.who.int)

Our team is following reports of the virus and how it is spreading around the world. We base our recommendations on those issued by the WHO.

As of March 5, 2020, there are currently just five reported cases of coronavirus in Mexico. Meanwhile, the United States is reporting 158 cases out of more than 300 million residents.

There are currently no recommendations to restrict travel in and out of the United States to Mexico and there is no indication that will be changing in the near future.

While teams are in Mexico, we provide clean safe housing and dining facilities. Our facilities are equipped with multiple locations for bathrooms, hand washing, and separate areas for food preparation. All staff and participants are encouraged to practice good hygiene and to make leadership aware of anyone who is exhibiting signs of sickness.

Should any participant exhibit signs of coronavirus or another viral infection, we have rapid access to the emergency room in Eagle Pass, Texas.

We will continue to provide updates as news develops.
