TOOLS THAT SERVE
It’s not often you want to feature a vehicle in our report but our beloved 2003 Excursion deserves it. It has served in countless Help Build Hope events around the US and for our ministry. We recently took her off the road after 350,000 plus miles and 12 years of service. She is not retiring totally as now she will work well for Alex and Allie in New Orleans.
We get a lot of life out of vehicles!
Transporting groups and work trucks (as our lead relational development tool is construction) is something we always need. We literally put tens of thousands of miles on vehicles for our teams and our Help Build Hope program.
Many of those are donated vehicles from faithful supporters like you. We issue you a tax letter and walk you through using that as a deduction.
However sometimes, we just need to purchase one to meet the ministry need. Our Ford Excursion has now been replaced by a new (to us) 2018 Nissan Titan (see picture below) which will travel many many miles to engage churches in service and bless communities and deserving families with a home.
Would you please consider a special donation to meet this need to keep our team rolling and safe on the road? This truck will also be used on special projects with our ServeLouisville team like our Veteran’s Outreach. Please send in a special gift marked vehicle donation or go to our web site to make a donation.
If you have a vehicle that you might be able to donate to any of our fields, please contact tim@crossroadsmisions.com.

CrossRoads Missions - Fighting COVID19!
Help CrossRoads Missions Provide Filters for Health Care Workers Through Volunteers
CrossRoads Missions and our partner Digital Promotions are using their resources to produce respiratory filters for health care workers. As we face the pandemic of COVID-19, we have formed partnerships with local surgeons, emergency room physicians, primary care doctors, respiratory therapists, CRG Automation, H3: Helping Healthcare Heroes, filter companies and many others, to mass produce respiratory filters for our front-line health care workers. Rob Minton, our Director has helped put this collation together and serves with their oversight board.
Rob has marshaled the resources and retooled our commercial embroidery equipment to rapidly produce thousands of masks. Our plan is to use our professional staff and key volunteers to assist in production. We are seeking volunteers to cut and potentially sew in a social distancing and sanitary environment at our main office in Louisville.
Our initial goals are to produce an estimated 50,000 masks using the specialized filter material we have on hand. The developed prototype mask developed by Rob and our DP staff has been approved by different front-line workers in our cities for comfort and durability.
Our masks will be used in every way possible except directly with those infected with the virus. Those workers will get the very best N95 masks. Our partners make those determinations.
Our partners are doing the necessary sourcing of the highest quality materials available. We cannot take any donated material as everything used in the production must be hospital use grade. Our partners will also determine who gets the masks in a critical need basis.
As a ministry, we have made the decision to not charge anyone for these masks we produce in this critical time. Instead we are asking for monetary donations to cover the production of the masks and the material needed. We feel that together we can partner and do what we always do - make a difference in our communities as we reach out with the love of Christ. In this case, it is directly to our heroes on the front line during this time of crisis. A side benefit is that this will allow us to recall some of our Digital Promotion workers who can run our machines for this purpose
If you have any questions, feel free to call me at 812-406-6045 or email me at tim@crossroadsmissions.com. Would you please join us we make a difference in this fight? We will ensure your gift goes directly to the production of these masks for those who need it most. You can donate at the link below.
Also, would you please pray for our staff and workers during this time. We are practicing social distancing and taking all precautions we seek to make a difference

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE:

Our team is following reports of the virus and how it is spreading around the world. We base our recommendations on those issued by the WHO.
As of March 5, 2020, there are currently just five reported cases of coronavirus in Mexico. Meanwhile, the United States is reporting 158 cases out of more than 300 million residents.
There are currently no recommendations to restrict travel in and out of the United States to Mexico and there is no indication that will be changing in the near future.
While teams are in Mexico, we provide clean safe housing and dining facilities. Our facilities are equipped with multiple locations for bathrooms, hand washing, and separate areas for food preparation. All staff and participants are encouraged to practice good hygiene and to make leadership aware of anyone who is exhibiting signs of sickness.
Should any participant exhibit signs of coronavirus or another viral infection, we have rapid access to the emergency room in Eagle Pass, Texas.
We will continue to provide updates as news develops.
